Our first glimpse of the Baddest part of the Badlands led us to believe that we were giants on a miniature Hollywood set. Which of course led us to imagine stop-motion battles between the Sasquatch and Thundercat that reside within Loretta (figurines or our alter egos – you decide). Although the battle never materialized, we sure had fun running around and getting the most out of the scenery. We encountered an unbelievable sunset, very astute big horn sheep and slightly hostile bison (or is it buffalo). It was all breathtaking.
